H HoTEL
in COLLABORATION with Barry Jacob and Patrick Gibson
A collaboration with a respected and long-term client, the renovation of this historic Korea Town hotel was accompanied by a brand repositioning. The design team was engaged to aid in naming, brand conceptualization and developing a narrative for design, implementation, graphics, and positioning.
Located across 8th street from the site of the historic Ambassador Hotel and iconic Coconut Grove, the graphic concept took its cues from the panache of the 1920’s and the glamour of that roaring decade. Classic details and furnishings, including installing an actual chandelier from the original hotel in the lobby all provided the foundation for the brand identity, logo, imagery, graphic program and signage.
This holistic approach to developing a narrative for a project and branding provides a rich and layered guest experience that is tangible.
