BRENTWOOD GLEN

The existing house of 1,300 SF was relocated from the future site of what would become the Santa Monica Airport. With a growing family of four, the client charged the design team to expand the existing home by adding a second floor and to transform the garage into a guesthouse/ ADU. Working closely with the clients, the team was able to contextualize the addition to be appropriate for the neighborhood and respectful of adjacent properties while also providing the additional space required for their family’s needs. The home is outfitted with a mix of custom millwork, bespoke details and a selection of inviting materials that give the design a warm, yet sophisticated environment.  The renovations are equally relevant for their daily life as well as providing an environment for entertaining guests.
