PENTAGON

In Design Development, the Pentagon project consists of a remodel and addition to an existing single story residence in Altadena, CA. A young creative couple and their two kids are welcoming their aging grandmother to now live with them. The design aims to open up the center of the existing house to make for a large gathering kitchen and central circulation between the existing living room, the private bedrooms and the new addition which will function as a large light filled family room and dining area. The garage is to be converted into an ADU and new apartment for their grandmother. The new extensive deck will seamlessly connect the new family room to the back yard through a bifold window system for a true California indoor-outdoor living experience.
